The Combined Mess at Tankadrome is a Mess and SLA facility for SNCO's, Officers and Senior Officers.
The Mess provides a hotel-like facility for the officers to dine and relax in, with the accommodation on the two upper floors.
The construction of the Mess used innovative methods; the ground floor is steel frame supporting an insitu concrete slab at first floor level, with the two floors of bedrooms above constructed off-site as volumetric modules. Aerial photograph credit - CPL Ian Forsyth RLC.
