Project SLAM, Alamein Mess, Catterick
The Combined Mess at Tankadrome is a £15M Mess and SLA facility for 48 SNCO, 48 Officers and 8 Senior Officers.
The Mess provides a hotel-like facility for the officers to dine and relax in, with the accommodation on the two upper floors.
The construction of the Mess used innovative methods; the ground floor is steel frame supporting an insitu concrete slab at first floor level, with the two floors of bedrooms above constructed off-site as volumetric modules.
