Catterick Garrison, Warrant Officers & Sergeants' Mess, Gaza Barracks
The new focal point within Gaza Barracks was handed over to the the base to the sound of a fanfare. In the heart of Gaza Barracks a new SNCO Mess and en-suite single living accommodation building has been completed. The new building will not only serve as a Mess for the 4th Mechanized Brigade but also as the Catterick Garrison Warrant Officers and Sergeants Mess. The need for direct links to the accommodation and flexible internal spaces added to the complexity of the internal layout as the mess will accommodate numerous functions throughout the year. The new building replaces the existing Mess within the Barracks and will also house 80 SNCO's within the en-suite bed sits. This project is part of the ongoing works at Gaza Barracks being under taken by Project SLAM, which includes a new accommodation block for Officers adjacent to the existing Officers Mess.
