Project SLAM, Trainee Accommodation, Helles Barracks, Catterick
Just under 600 trainee bedspaces have been completed at Helles Barracks to enhance the recruitment programme within Catterick Garrison Infantry Training Centre.
The project included the demolition of the existing 1940's ‘Sandhurst' style Barry Block and the erection of three new four storey accommodation buildings.
The three new accommodation blocks are positioned around a central courtyard area which provides an area for the trainees to formally assemble.
CRGP Limited has worked closely with the Customer Focal Team and the End User Representatives to develop the layout internally to provide a more efficient layout and central utility and drying areas of the trainees.
This project was completed in early 2009, well ahead of programme.
