Planning Submitted for Fire Damaged Pool

CRGP has recently submitted a planning application for the rebuilding of West Lothian Leisure's Xcite Whitburn Centre, which was destroyed by fire on 23^rd July 2011.

The fire completely destroyed the Pool Hall, Sauna & Steam Area, Spectators Gallery, Soft Play and Changing Areas. There was also extensive smoke damage to the Reception, Cafe and Fitness Centre that housed a newly refurbished gym and dance studio. Unfortunately the venue has been unusable since the fire.

Although the fire was a devastating blow to the client and the local community, it has provided an opportunity to remodel the building. CRGP has worked very closely with West Lothian Leisure and their insurers to develop new plans and new elevations to help bring the 1970's pool building into the 21^st Century. The proposals will help deal with many operational issues that the client had experienced with the existing building as well as providing improved services to the community.
