Work to reinstate the Xcite Leisure Centre in Whitburn have recently commenced on site. The first phase of steelwork enclosing the main pool hall is nearing completion, with further phases being erected to form a new entrance concourse and soft play area. The building is programmed to complete in Spring 2013 after much of it was destroyed in a fire almost a year ago.

The Main Contractor, Kier Construction, held a poster competition amongst the local primary schools with several entries selected for display around the site during the course of the construction work.
