Nursery, East End Healthy Living Centre
CRGP Limited provided architecture, quantity surveying, project management and CDM co-ordinator services to Glasgow East Regeneration Agency for the extension and alterations to form a new Childcare facility at the East End Healthy Living Centre on Crownpoint Road in Glasgow.
The new nursery accommodates 50 pre-school children.
The design successfully maximises natural daylight into the building and cantilevered roofs provide shading from the sun. The bright colour palette enhances and stimulates children's learning.
Cllr Patricia Chalmers, Chair of Glasgow's Regeneration Agency said "This was always going to be a challenging project due to it being within an occupied building and the weather also caused a number of unanticipated delays. CRGP managed the process very well bringing the project in on budget and time. Glasgow's Regeneration Agency, the parents and children are delighted with our new nursery and the level of service from CRGP and the quality achieved through the main contractor Elmwood and engineering services providers Hawthorne Bolye and Woolgar Hunter."
