The award winning accommodation block within Vimy Barracks will house 81 Officers within grade one standard en-suite bedrooms. The accommodation sits opposite the new landmark Officers mess building which will be completed in spring 2012. The modular construction accommodation will house permenant staff within the rear wing while transitee staff will be housed in the front wing. The building will also provide the occupants with shared utility and kitchen facilities. The new Mess building has been developed in close conjunction with the end users to provide them with a flexible multi purpose building, this providing them with rooms suitable for formal functions while still allowing the mess members utilise to building to relax. The interior design of the building has also been developed in close conjunction with the end users and the vareity of finishes respond to their requirements.
