This new build property replaces a large suburban style house in a rural site destroyed by fire.
Our design responded to both the client’s desire to live in close contact with nature, maximising the spectacular views across the nearby golf course, and the concept of creating a contemporary courtyard entrance developed from traditional form and detail, exploiting a sophisticated vernacular aesthetic to fuse both, creating a new home that echoes and addresses existing, adjacent and local precedent.
