The St Stephen’s masterplan is a social housing project for River Clyde Homes to deliver 224 new homes. These will be mix of affordable houses and flatted dwellings, which provide much needed accommodation for a diverse range of people in the Inverclyde area.
The design seeks to rejuvenate the area with robust, well-designed houses and flats that define a series of varied attractive streets, public spaces and natural landscape. By responding to the distant, immediate and intimate context of the site, the proposal fully utilises the views and opportunities over the River Clyde and beyond, whilst stitching into the local urban fabric and fully utilising the natural topography to create a rich architectural composition. In addition, the project meets the Silver Aspects 1-7 sustainability credentials.
